Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Houseman to join our hospitality team, ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall maintenance of our property. In this vital role, you will support the housekeeping and facilities management teams by performing a variety of custodial and manual tasks that uphold our high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute to creating a welcoming and pristine environment for all visitors and staff.

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, hallways, and service spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and chemical agents
• Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper handling procedures
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture, supplies, or equipment to support housekeeping operations
• Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain a spotless appearance
• Support hotel housekeeping management by organizing supplies, restocking amenities, and ensuring cleanliness standards are met consistently
• Follow hotel emergency procedures during incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety
• Maintain cleanliness in utility closets, storage areas, and janitorial carts to ensure readiness for daily operations

Requirements

• Proven custodial or janitorial experience within a hospitality or industrial cleaning environment
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods, and chemical agent handling with adherence to safety protocols
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and standards
• Experience with hotel emergency procedures and understanding of safety data sheets (SDS) for chemical products
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
• Previous hotel experience or hospitality background is highly preferred
