Job Description

SIN is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Trade & Wholesale Account Director to join our growing team in Brooklyn. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of sales, design, and collaboration: someone who can build meaningful client relationships, drive growth, and help shape how SIN shows up in the design community.


You’ll work closely with trade professionals, showrooms, and independent retailers, acting as a trusted advisor who understands both product and client. You’ll help clients discover thoughtful, design-forward solutions that fit their projects, tailoring your approach and cadence to each relationship.

Beyond account management, you’ll identify creative opportunities: partnerships, activations, and collaborations that strengthen our brand story and connect commerce with design. You’ll collaborate with Production and Operations to ensure a seamless client experience, and with Marketing to surface partnerships and events that deepen SIN’s presence in the design world.

Some travel may be required, primarily in the Tri-State area for trade shows, client meetings, and industry events.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Account Development

  • Build and grow relationships with trade clients (designers, architects, showrooms) and independent retailers
  • Guide clients through SIN’s collections, offering tailored, design-driven recommendations
  • Generate quotes, set up trade accounts, and ensure seamless fulfillment in collaboration with Production and Operations
  • Provide consistent, thoughtful follow-up to maintain long-term trust and loyalty


Brand & Collaboration Initiatives

  • Identify and pursue creative collaborations with designers, retailers, and cultural partners that strengthen SIN’s presence
  • Partner with Marketing to bridge sales and brand visibility through special projects, events, and activations
  • Propose new ideas that drive both brand awareness and revenue growth


Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure client needs are met with care and precision
  • Share insights from client interactions to inform product development and future launches
  • Represent SIN at trade shows, events, and showroom appointments (primarily in the Tri-State area, with occasional travel beyond)


About You

Qualifications
  • Active book of business with interior designers, architects, and high-net-worth end users
  • 5 years of experience in sales or account management within design, homewares, fashion, or related creative industries
  • Experience working with trade clients or retail accounts; mid-range to luxury experience preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in CRM tools and sales tracking
  • Based in the New York area with ability to travel for trade shows and events


Compensation
  • Base Salary: $85,000 annually commission
  • On-Target Earnings: Six-figure potential with strong upside for exceeding goals
  • 10 Federal holidays 20 PTO days 5 sick days 1 BTO
