Software Developer III

Overview

We are seeking a Mid-level Software Developer with 5 years of experience developing software for tactical systems to join our team. This position requires on-site presence at NSWCDD or contractor facility at least 3-4 days per week.

Clearance

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in software development
• Experience with Java, Kotlin, Go, Golang, Rust, or TypeScript
• Experience with designing and implementing modular software architectures
• Knowdata ledge of open application programming interface and providing access to data
• Knowledge of database schema design and structured query language
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Agile fundamentals
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain clean, modular software components using languages such as Java, Kotlin, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Develop standard, open APIs and scalable data interfaces to ensure data access and integration across systems.
• Develop database schema design and writing efficient SQL queries to support applications.
• Utilize CI/CD automation and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker and Kubernetes) to streamline application deployment.
• Integrate open-source communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, gRPC, orWebSockets) and open-source mapping libraries (e.g., OpenLayers, Cesium) to projects
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, perform code reviews, and deliver completed software packages.
• Maintain the ability to operate within a cleared security environment and maintain security compliance.
  
  

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Experience with open-source map libraries, including OpenLayers Map OL, or Cesium
• Knowledge of open-source communication protocols, including MQTT, gRPC, or WebSockets

Compensation

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
