Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service at the front counter or café area
- Operate square POS systems to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform basic math calculations with precision
- Assist with food preparation, food handling, and maintaining sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Upsell menu items or products to enhance sales opportunities and improve customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of the front counter, dining area, and food prep stations by bussing tables and ensuring sanitation standards are met
- Support kitchen staff with basic food prep tasks when needed, demonstrating culinary experience and teamwork skills
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, quick service & fast food restaurant, or retail environment is preferred
- Familiarity with square POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in cashiering, serving, or grocery store operations is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Kitchen experience or culinary background is beneficial but not required; willingness to learn is essential
