Compensation: $125,000–$150,000 Base Salary Competitive Performance-Based Commission

Candidates must have 3 years of prior experience within the ophthalmology
industry, including ophthalmic instruments, ophthalmic surgical products, ophthalmic training, clinical
education, physician education, or related ophthalmic markets.

THE OPPORTUNITY
This role is ideal for an ophthalmology professional who enjoys building business, developing
relationships, creating opportunities, and driving measurable growth.
The successful candidate will inherit a strong foundation of existing industry relationships and
accounts. Success in this role requires protecting and expanding those relationships while simultaneously creating new opportunities that drive long-term revenue growth. The role is designed
for someone who can protect a successful existing business while creating the next phase of growth.
This is not a passive account management position.
We are looking for someone who is energized by building new business.
The Director of Business Development will work directly with both company founders and serve as a key member of the leadership team. This role partners closely with the CEO on industry relationships, customer engagement, product strategy, and market development while working with the CSO on market development, sales accountability, pipeline development, forecasting, and revenue growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Revenue Growth
• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
• Generate new opportunities across industry, education, and clinical markets
• Expand existing customer relationships
• Identify opportunities for account growth, new product adoption, and increased utilization
• Deliver measurable year-over-year revenue growth
Industry Relationships
• Strengthen relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs)
• Develop relationships with industry training leaders and commercial organizations
• Expand partnerships with residency and fellowship programs
• Represent SimulEYE at industry meetings, wet labs, and conferences
Territory Development
• Grow business throughout the United States
• Support distributor relationships in Canada and LATAM
• Identify and develop new channel opportunities
Sales Accountability
• Maintain accurate CRM records and forecasting
• Participate in weekly sales accountability and pipeline review meetings with company leadership
• Track pipeline growth, opportunity development, and revenue performance
• Develop and execute quarterly growth plans
• Consistently execute against agreed-upon sales objectives
Success in this role is measured through pipeline development, revenue growth, account expansion, CRM activity, measurable pipeline growth, and consistent execution.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• 3 years of experience within ophthalmology, ophthalmic instruments, ophthalmic surgical
products, physician education, clinical education, or related ophthalmic markets
• Proven success in sales, business development, commercial training, clinical education, or related roles
• Strong understanding of the ophthalmology industry and customer landscape
• Demonstrated history of building business and driving revenue growth
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This role requires attendance at major ophthalmology meetings, customer visits, wet labs, training
events, and industry conferences throughout the year.

INTERVIEW PROCESS
Qualified candidates will participate in an initial interview with SimulEYE’s Chief Strategy Officer.
Candidates selected to move forward will then meet with SimulEYE’s CEO & CSO.
Final-round candidates will be asked to present a high-level 90-day growth plan outlining
how they would approach territory development, pipeline growth, account expansion, and revenue
generation for SimulEYE.
