Tutor: Literacy

Simsbury Public Schools is accepting applications for a Basic Skills Tutor - Literacy to work 12 hours per week at Central Elementary School, Grades K-6, commencing asap.

• Has knowledge of and can implement literacy strategies including phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension support for K - 6 grade students.
• Creates a positive, encouraging learning environment that fosters confidence and motivation in reading
• Collaborates with Language Arts Consultant and classroom teachers to align lessons and share progress
• Plans and maintains organized documentation of lesson plans and student data.
