Transportation Coordinator Operations

Job Summary

Administrative work supporting the Transport team, including Rail, Engineering, and Transportation data tasks—is to be completed safely and efficiently in line with company requirements specific to the Transportation teams.

Key Responsibilities

Rail Team Support

• Track railcars, traces, diversions, and car allocations.
• Monitor and manage demurrage tracking and invoice disputes.
• Process car releases, bills of lading, manifests, and notices.
• Enter SAI data for all railcars (sales, purchases, waste).
• Confirm rates and match shipment numbers for railroad freight bills.
• Review and approve railcar repairs and maintenance.
• Prepare weekly railcar reporting (sales/purchase status, average shipped weights).
• Maintain Power BI reporting for rail operations.
• Provide support and backup to other Rail Team administrative functions as needed.
  
  

MEX Application and Equipment Administration Tool

• Maintain equipment and asset records in the MEX system in accordance with global Transport Asset standards.
• Process administrative changes in MEX promptly for all Equipment Administration Tool requests.
• Ensure financial data alignment between MEX and related systems (Maintenance, Fixed Assets, Finance, Lease Management).
• Collaborate with FP&A to ensure financial and operational consistency.
• Manage the Equipment Administration Tool used by Transportation teams for administrative requests.
• Promote awareness and provide training for these systems as needed.
• Cross-train with the Maintenance Administrator to provide backup support for MEX maintenance application tasks.
  
  

Metro Region Support (Backup Assistance)

Provide backup support to the Metro Region teams (including Metro, Northern Tier, Fairless, and NEMT) in areas such as:

• Dispatching
• MyCOI administration
• RateLinx
• Freight rate management
• Reporting
  
  

General Responsibilities

• Record, resolve, and/or escalate complaints promptly per company policy.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrate personal responsibility for all Safety, Health, Environment, Community, and Sustainability (SHECS) policies and initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, advanced diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in an industrial transport environment or equivalent.
• Knowledge of applicable transportation regulations.
• Preferred: experience with ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal handling and transport requirements.
