This role is to support the Financial Controller NAM to ensure an effective internal control framework is in place, and operating satisfactorily, to safeguards company assets and to assist in the annual audit programs in conjunction with internal & external auditors and support compliance activities of the region. Willingness to work a flexible schedule dealing with multiple time zones as required.

Purpose of Role
This role is to support the Financial Controller NAM to ensure an effective internal control framework is in place, and operating satisfactorily, to safeguards company assets and to assist in the annual audit programs in conjunction with internal & external auditors and support compliance activities of the region. Principal Accountabilities
- Support to ensure the consistency of policies applied throughout the region through review, training and documentation (e.g. inventory accounting, waste accounting, provisions)
- Support compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS) and internal reporting policies.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of internal control policies and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining documentation of financial processes and controls.
- Internal audit/compliance support – yard audits, IT requests review
- Support Group Treasury with local treasury compliance activities
- Trade credit review
- Bank liaison and Credit card management for the region
- GSS Policy and procedure review including Trade AR and AP monthly review
- Collaboration with GSS on process improvement procedures and communication throughout the business.
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned
- Hybrid work schedule. Jersey City office at least three times a week.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline
- Knowledge of accounting standards, IFRS
- Understanding of internal controls and SOX/compliance frameworks
- Experience working with auditors preferred (internal and external)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively and cooperatively with different functions and across different locations and cultures to achieve shared objectives
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excel including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis
