The Associate Director, Digital Adoption & Transformation is a strategic leader driving firmwide adoption of legal technology, collaboration tools, AI‑enabled capabilities, and modern ways of working. Sitting within Practice Solutions in the firm’s Knowledge & Innovation Department, the role leads a team of digital adoption professionals focused on scaling engagement, governance, and training programs that elevate the employee experience, enhance legal service delivery, and maximize the value of technology investments. In close partnership with AI enablement leadership, the role helps teams responsibly integrate AI into daily workflows and evolving practice needs.

A core focus of the role is change leadership—guiding lawyers and business professionals through technology‑enabled and AI‑driven transformation. Through clear communication, targeted training, and strong stakeholder engagement, the Associate Director ensures employees embrace tools and workflows that increase productivity and support exceptional client service. The role also oversees the governance and evolution of the firm’s intranet and collaboration platforms to drive usability, consistency, and sustained engagement. By aligning adoption efforts with firm priorities, this position accelerates a culture of innovation, adaptability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Adoption Strategy Change Leadership

  • Lead a firm‑wide digital adoption and change management strategy to drive aligned, smooth, and sustained technology adoption.
  • Collaborate closely with AI enablement leadership to drive responsible adoption of AI‑enabled tools, establish governance for prompt libraries and community workflows, and build firmwide AI literacy.
  • Oversee targeted training, learning pathways, and communication campaigns that build digital fluency, increase awareness, and reinforce desired adoption behaviors.
  • Engage firm stakeholders and leadership in building a network of digital champions across practice groups to model modern, technology enabled ways of working.
  • Define adoption/engagement metrics and KPIs. Monitor adoption trends and user insights to identify barriers, guide continuous improvement, and inform future transformation initiatives.
  • Provide executive level insights and recommendations to Practice Solutions leadership and firm management.

Digital Workplace & Intranet Experience

  • Lead the strategic roadmap and continuous evolution of the firm’s digital workplace—including the intranet and related platforms—to deliver a connected, intuitive, and personalized employee experience that supports knowledge discovery, collaboration, and seamless daily workflows.
  • Partner within and across departments to ensure digital workspaces are user‑centric, accessible, and aligned with firm priorities, integrating tools and content into a cohesive, frictionless ecosystem.
  • Use analytics, behavioral insights, and user feedback to optimize platform functionality, improve findability, and drive sustained engagement across digital channels.

Operational Ownership & Process Design

  • Establish governance frameworks ensuring digital tools and platforms are compliant, intuitive, and optimized for legal workflows.
  • Design scalable operational processes and standardized workflows to support consistent, sustainable technology adoption across the firm.
  • Establish governance for firmwide prompt libraries and community‑developed AI workflows.
  • Implement intranet governance for content, permissions, taxonomy, and lifecycle management to maintain quality, consistency, and compliance.
  • Deliver project support for initiatives assigned by the Director of Practice Solutions and the Chief Knowledge & Innovation Officer.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Organizational Development, or a related field or equivalent working experience. Master’s preferred.
  • Experience: 10 years in digital adoption, change management, legal technology, or related fields, preferably in a professional services or law firm environment.
  • Change Management Expertise: Proven ability to design and execute structured change management strategies using methodologies, such as, Prosci, ADKAR, or similar frameworks.
  • Technology & Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of AI-enabled legal technology platforms, collaboration tools, and process improvement methodologies. Experience optimizing intranet systems and enterprise platforms to improve user experience and productivity. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) and experience using or supporting SharePoint‑based intranets or digital workspace environments, preferred.
  • Leadership & Influence: Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional initiatives, engaging stakeholders at all levels, and driving behavioral change.
