Simpson's Collision Repair – Florence is an independent, locally owned collision repair shop serving the Florence, AL community with high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. We are growing and looking for an experienced Collision Repair Technician to join our team.
Position Overview
The Collision Repair Technician is responsible for performing complete, safe, and accurate repairs on vehicles involved in collisions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural and non-structural collision repairs according to OEM and industry standards
- Disassemble and reassemble vehicles for repair, ensuring all parts are properly installed
- Diagnose vehicle damage and identify appropriate repair methods
- Utilize frame and measuring equipment to restore vehicle dimensions
- Perform welding, panel replacement, body filling, sanding, and alignment as needed
- Work closely with estimators and other team members to ensure accurate repair plans
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with all safety procedures
- Inspect completed repairs for quality, safety, and fit/finish before delivery
- Properly document work performed and follow shop policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Experience as a Collision Repair/Body Technician required
- Strong knowledge of collision repair processes, tools, and equipment
- Ability to read and follow repair orders and OEM repair procedures
- Experience with structural repairs, frame straightening, and welding
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- I-CAR certifications
- I-CAR welding certification or equivalent welding experience
