Simpson|McCrady, a trusted and independent insurance agency with over 100 years in the industry. We are seeking a full-time (hybrid after training), experienced Director of Finance to oversee and manage all financial activities within our growing organization. This role is pivotal in overseeing billing processes, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, and using Power BI and AMS 360 to drive data-informed decisions. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, accounts receivable/payable, and general ledger activities.
- Manage billing systems to ensure timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and monthly reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and maintain appropriate internal controls.
- Understand partnership taxes and assist the CPA with tax preparation for the company.
- Review corporate credit solutions for the company.
- Administer and monitor employee expense payments and reimbursements, ensuring timely processing and policy compliance.
- Manage relationships with carrier partners, banks, investment institutions, and external auditors.
- Develop and maintain AMS financials and billing information using Power BI dashboards to provide real-time insights into financial performance and projections.
- Analyze trends and KPIs to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Present financial reports, insights, and recommendations to the executive team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- 6 progressive years of experience in finance, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax laws, insurance, acquisitions, and financial regulations
- Strong understanding of the billing system and financial controls.
- Proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft Excel; experience with AMS 360 is a plus
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
