Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Maintenance Technician role based in Sammamish, WA. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance on apartment homes, common areas, building systems, and related equipment. Daily tasks include diagnosing and resolving maintenance requests, completing work orders, conducting unit turns and inspections, and performing preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The role also involves maintaining the appearance and safety of the property, assisting with vendor coordination, and ensuring compliance with company standards and local codes. The Maintenance Technician collaborates closely with the onsite team to provide a high level of resident service and support community operations.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Industrial Maintenance to support building systems and property operations.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting to diagnose issues with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and appliance systems.
- Experience with Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Ability to manage work orders, prioritize tasks, and respond promptly to resident and property needs.
- Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools, safety procedures, and applicable building codes.
- Customer service mindset with clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse residents and team members.
- Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various indoor/outdoor conditions.
- Previous residential or multifamily maintenance experience and relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, EPA, trade licenses) are preferred.
