Role Description
The Lead Estimator will play a pivotal role in overseeing the estimation process for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and requirements to produce comprehensive cost projections. This full-time, on-site position is based in Wichita, Kansas. Key responsibilities will include preparing bid proposals, collaborating with project managers, evaluating subcontractor submissions, and ensuring accurate cost forecasting to support project planning and execution.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in construction estimating, cost analysis, and budget preparation
- Proficiency in analyzing blueprints, technical drawings, and construction specifications
- Strong familiarity with construction management, scheduling, and project lifecycle principles
- Exceptional skills in communication, negotiation, and vendor relationship management
- Experience with industry-standard estimation software and proficiency in relevant technologies
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Prior experience in commercial construction projects is highly advantageous
