Concrete Finisher – Small Jobs Division

We are looking to add a hardworking Concrete Finisher to support small-scale commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with concrete placement and finishing, including flatwork, sidewalks, slabs, and foundations, and will work alongside Simpson’s self-perform crews to deliver high-quality results. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, works well in a team environment, and enjoys a fast-paced, hands-on position. Work may include both standalone small projects and concrete scopes on larger jobsites.

Responsibilities

· Place, finish, and cure concrete according to project specifications and quality standards

· Operate hand and power tools including screeds, floats, trowels, and finishing equipment

· Smooth and level surfaces for sidewalks, slabs, curbs, floors, and foundations

· Assist with concrete pours, layout, and site preparation

· Apply finishing techniques such as edging, jointing, broom finishes, and sealing

· Monitor concrete setting times and weather conditions to ensure proper finishing

· Work alongside foremen and crew members to complete projects efficiently and safely

· Maintain a clean and organized jobsite

· Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company safety standards

· Communicate material or equipment needs to supervisors

Desired Skills & Experience

· Minimum 1–2 years of experience in concrete finishing preferred

· Knowledge of concrete placement, finishing, and curing techniques

· Ability to operate finishing tools and equipment safely and effectively

· Experience with flatwork, sidewalks, slabs, curbs, and foundations

· Ability to read tape measures and follow layout instructions

· Strong work ethic and attention to detail

· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

· Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred

· Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor
