The Job
This is a hands-on legal role for someone who thrives at the intersection of law, operations, and business velocity. You’ll assist with commercial contracts — drafting, negotiating, and closing deals across the full contract lifecycle while helping build the legal ops infrastructure that scales with the business.
What You’ll Do
About Simpro
Simpro Group is a global B2B SaaS company in the field service management space, helping trades and service businesses run smarter operations. With a presence across the US, Australia, and Europe, Simpro is scaling fast — and needs strong legal infrastructure to match.
What You’ll Own
• Draft, review, redline, and negotiate SaaS agreements, MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, vendor contracts, and partner agreements
• Serve as a primary legal point of contact for the sales teams — a true business partner who moves deals forward, not a bottleneck
• Understand how AI/LLMs work and legal issues with AI; negotiate contracts with customers for their purchase of AI products/services
• Review and negotiate inbound technology and vendor contracts
• Design and implement legal operations infrastructure — contract management, redlining automation, playbooks, and intake workflows (not just use them — build them)
• Advise on data privacy and compliance matters including GDPR as they relate to commercial deals
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Finance, and Security to manage risk while supporting deal velocity
• Collaborate closely with the Australia-based GC and legal team on global matters
What You’ll Bring
What We’re Looking For
- J.D. and active bar admission required
- 5 years of commercial contracts experience in a B2B SaaS or technology company
- Strong track record negotiating SaaS agreements with SMB and mid-market customers — you understand the deal cycle and how to close
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing legal automation — CMS buildouts, redlining workflows, contract playbooks (this is a must, not a nice-to-have)
- Solid grasp of data privacy regulations (GDPR) in the context of commercial agreements
- A communicator and collaborator first — someone sales actually wants to call, not avoid
- Self-starter who can operate independently in a lean, high-growth environment across time zones
Why This One
- Ground-floor opportunity in the legal function
- Global company with real international exposure — US, APAC, and EMEA
- High-growth B2B SaaS with strong product-market fit and serious investment in scaling
