Job Purpose:
SimplyHome is seeking compassionate, dependable, and tech-savvy individuals to join our Remote Support Team—a specialized call center dedicated to providing real-time assistance and oversight to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and older adults who are aging in place. Through enabling technology and person-centered care practices, our Remote Direct Support Professionals (RSPs or rDSPs) promote independence, dignity, and safety by responding to alerts and providing virtual support for activities of daily living.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Remote Support and Monitoring
- Deliver high-quality, person-centered support using remote monitoring tools (e.g., sensors, smart devices, exterior cameras).
- Respond promptly to system alerts to ensure safety, respect autonomy, and maintain privacy.
- Assess a variety of real-time scenarios and determine the appropriate course of action.
- Support individuals in daily routines, health-related prompts, and decision-making while fostering independence.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Maintain continuous communication with the Remote Support Manager, team members, and external caregivers.
- Participate in team decision-making and share observations, insights, and support strategies.
- Coordinate shift changes effectively by communicating key updates to incoming staff.
- Engage with each individual’s Circle of Support to ensure consistent and informed care.
- Documentation and Compliance
- Accurately complete real-time documentation for all support interactions and alert responses.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, policies, and relevant regulations.
- Follow all Support and Technology Plans as outlined for each individual.
- Uphold confidentiality, HIPAA standards, and SimplyHome’s policies at all times.
- Completes and maintains all required training and certifications.
- Technology Use and Troubleshooting
- Navigate and operate SimplyHome’s customer portal and in-home technology systems.
- Identify and report any technology issues promptly to the Remote Support Manager.
- Collaborate with internal departments for resolution of technical concerns as needed.

Important Notes on Schedule and Compensation
- The Remote Support Center operates 24/7, 365 days per year, making scheduling a critical component of business operations.
- Consistent, reliable attendance and adherence to the staffing schedule are essential to this role.
- This is a full-time, hourly position, typically scheduled for five days per week (40 hours).
- The Night Shift runs from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
- Starting pay for the night shift is $19.00 per hour, cost of living adjustments made annually
- This role is eligible for a weekend and holiday pay shift differential and overtime.
- Weekend availability is required for a minimum of two shifts per month; weekend hours may be paid as overtime or offset with alternate weekdays off.
- Holiday coverage may be required on a rotating basis; holiday pay is provided in accordance with company policy.
- Flexibility is essential, especially during inclement weather, emergency events, or staff shortages. Advance notice will be provided whenever possible.
- Occasional schedule adjustments may be made based on service needs.
Education and Experience and other Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
- Must be able to successfully complete all required training for this position
- Must be able to successfully pass necessary background checks and identification requirements.
- Must be legally eligible to work overnight shifts in compliance with federal and state labor laws.
