Job Summary:
Responsible for the evaluation, planning, direction, and administration of occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. Administers treatments and physical agents to restore function, prevent disability, and assist patients in reaching their maximum performance level. The Occupational Therapist coordinates responsibilities with supportive staff, participates in departmental operational aspects, and maintains performance improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluates patients to determine the need for occupational therapy

Requirements:
- Current Iowa Occupational Therapy licensure
- Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy or equivalent
- Previous experience in all aspects of occupational therapy preferred
- American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS certification required
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Valid Iowa driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle record requirements
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Knowledge of physical medicine, occupational therapy modalities, anatomy, and physiology
- Knowledge of occupational therapy equipment operation, maintenance, and repairs
