Role Description

This full-time, on-site UI/UX Designer role is based in Charlotte, NC. The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for creating intuitive and visually appealing interfaces to enhance user experiences. Daily tasks include designing mockups, prototyping user interactions, and collaborating closely with development teams to implement designs. The designer will play a critical role in ensuring SSCC’s digital products are user-friendly, accessible, and aligned with the company’s vision and goals.

Key Responsibilities

• User Research & Analysis: Conduct basic user research (surveys, interviews, persona creation) to understand client needs, pain points, and behaviors related to catering services.

• Information Architecture (IA): Define and refine the site structure and content organization to ensure intuitive navigation and clear user flows, especially around browsing menus, requesting quotes, and booking services.

• Wireframing & Prototyping: Create low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity, interactive prototypes (using tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD) to visualize design solutions.

• Visual Design (UI): Develop a cohesive and appealing visual design (color palettes, typography, imagery, and iconography) that aligns with the Southern Celebration Catering brand identity.

• Usability Testing: Plan and execute usability tests to gather feedback and iterate on designs.

Qualifications

• Experience with Mockups, Prototyping, and Visual Design tools and practices
• Proficiency in User Experience Design (UED) and the ability to create user-centric designs
• Knowledge of Front-End Development, including familiarity with HTML, CSS, and other related technologies
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
• A degree in Graphic Design, User Experience, Interaction Design, or a related field is preferred

Compensation & Details

• Type: Freelance/Contract Position

• Pay Rate: $55 - $65 per hour, based on experience and proven portfolio.

• Location: Remote
