Simply Smiles Family Dental in Republic (Springfield metro) is looking for an enthusiastic, patient focused Dental Hygienist who is dedicated to providing patients with the most advanced comprehensive dental care available. We are a busy, privately owned, family-oriented general dental practice serving our local community and the four county area.

Skills/Abilities
- Assess dental condition and needs of patients using patient screening procedures, including medical history review, dental charting, and perio-charting
- Perform hygiene treatment procedures, such as cleaning, scaling, perio maintenance and polishing
- Take radiographs required for diagnosis of treatment needs by the dentist
- Apply sealants and fluorides
- Electronic record keeping with transcription
- Teach patients how to prevent tooth decay and gum disease through proper diet and oral home care
- Execute treatment plans as prescribed by the dentist
- Ability to articulate and express patient’s concerns to dentist
- Sterilization and equipment maintenance
- Follow AAP guidelines for periodontal staging and grading
Required Education/Certifications
- Current dental hygienist license in Missouri
- Minimum of an Associates degree, Bachelors degree a plus
- Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
- CPR/BLS Certificate
- Radiology Certificate
- Laser perio therapy certification a plus
