Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Lawn Care Technician to join our landscaping team. This role involves providing high-quality lawn and landscape maintenance services to residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, possess mechanical knowledge, and be committed to maintaining beautiful, healthy landscapes. This position offers opportunities to work with various tools and equipment, including power tools, hand tools, excavators, and irrigation systems, contributing to diverse projects such as lawn mowing, tree care, hardscape installation.
Duties
- Mow, trim, and edge lawns using lawn mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping equipment
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, and tree trimming
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping projects
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes
- Assist with construction of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls
- Maintain equipment through regular cleaning and basic repairs to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with excavation projects using excavators or other heavy machinery as needed
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on site
Qualifications
- Prior experience or knowledge in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or horticulture is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, landscaping equipment, and small machinery is a plus
- Ability to operate landscaping machinery safely and effectively
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail in all tasks performed
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions including lifting heavy materials and operating equipment for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license transporting equipment or traveling between job sites
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
