```Duties:```
- Provide lactation consulting services to new mothers and families in their homes. (League city, WOODLANDS, AND lake conroe area.
- Assess breastfeeding difficulties and provide appropriate interventions and support
- Educate and counsel mothers on breastfeeding techniques, proper latch, and milk supply
- Assist with breast pump use and provide guidance on milk storage and handling
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans for breastfeeding mothers
- Conduct breastfeeding classes and support groups for expectant and new mothers
- Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in lactation support
```Qualifications:```
- Certification as a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) required
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., nursing, public health) preferred
- Fluency in Spanish and English preferred
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to lactation
- Strong data analysis skills to track and evaluate breastfeeding outcomes
- Excellent communication skills, including public speaking and medical terminology
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in maternal-child health or public health
We are looking for a Lactation Consultant for at home visits in the Houston area. We offer supplemental pay as well as flexible hours.
