Catering Event Staff
The purpose of the position is to ensure that our guests have a great experience while attending one of our events. Event Staff are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner including being attentive to our guests’ needs and making them feel welcome.
Event Staff are required to follow through with the proper and timely set-up and execution of catering events, while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
General Responsibilities
- Arrive promptly, in uniform and ready to work at your designated start time.
- Assist with loading/unloading of event vehicles prior to and after the event.
- Assist with basic food preparation as needed.
- Assist with event set-up including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, buffet lines and kitchen equipment.
- Assist in ensuring the events are running on schedule. Make adjustments as needed and relay that information to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness throughout the event.
- Communicate any areas of need, problems and concerns from guest to Event Manager.
- Maintain proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses.
- Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by Event Manager.
- Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting.
- Adhere to grooming and uniform policies to maintain a professional appearance.
- Proactively seek ways to contribute to the overall success of the event.
Job Qualifications
- Catering and/or Food & Beverage experience preferred.
- Positive interpersonal skills required.
- High level of customer service orientation.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Evening and weekend availability a must.
