Position Title: Production Associate

Position Summary: Level 1 Production Associates are the “Entry Level” production position in our small-batch commercial bakery. Employees in this role will be assigned to one of several production lines where they will be rotated through the major functions of the bakery facility to include: Mixing, Depositing, Ovens, Flow Wrap, and Packaging. The goal for employees in this position is to acquire skills in multiple areas to allow for progression to higher skilled positions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow safety policies and protocols; alerting others regarding potential concerns.
- Uphold highest standards of food safety and product quality through observance of allergen protocols, and Good Manufacturing Practices; promptly report food safety and quality issues as necessary
- Foster a positive culture of respect and teamwork by treating coworkers with dignity and striving to exemplify the Bobo’s values: Collaborative, Adaptable, Passionate, Perseverant, and Fun-Loving
- Participate in end-to-end food manufacturing processes in an industrial bakery, through regular rotation in Mixing, Depositing, Ovens, Flow Wrap, and Packaging areas
- Weigh, measure, and move raw ingredients according to recipe specifications
- Move mixed dough onto trays and tamp down uniformly
- Load and unload product-filled trays onto oven racks; push/pull oven racks between areas on production floor
- Work on a production line placing individual product pieces onto conveyor belt at variable speeds
- Assemble boxes, and count and place individual product pieces into boxes
- Lift, carry and stack cartons onto shipping pallets, per tie-high standards
- Move raw ingredients, packaging materials, finished product, and light equipment throughout production facility as needed, sometimes lifting and carrying items, sometimes using a pallet jack
- Follow verbal and written procedures and SOPs, and record alphanumeric data as necessary
- Maintain cleanliness of production area, performing light janitorial tasks including sweeping, emptying trash, mopping floor, basic equipment cleaning, general housekeeping
- Perform other assigned tasks, as needed
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are basic necessary requirements of this position
Marginal Duties Performed Less Frequently:
- Deep clean equipment, production areas
- Clean and sanitize baking tools, such as trays, silicones, spatulas, mixing tools, etc.
- Perform quality checks on the finished goods being produced.
Supervisory Responsibility: None – this position will not be responsible for supervising other employees.
Qualifications / Education / Experience Desired:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous manufacturing or food handling experience
- Ability to work collaboratively within small and large, diverse teams
- Comfortable with fast-paced and dynamic work environment
Language / Mathematical / Reasoning Ability:
- Must have functional ability to understand and speak English or Spanish
- Ability to read, write, and understand documents in English or Spanish, such as Master Safety rules, Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and general instructions
- May be asked to use simple mathematic equations (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division)
- When issues arise, may be asked to assist in the troubleshooting process
Supervision Given:
- Each designated work area will have a Production Line Lead who will delegate work area assignments and tasks and serve as the first point of contact for immediate issues or questions.
- This position will report directly to a Production Supervisor who is responsible for communicating position expectations, shift plans, cross-training and disciplinary issues.

- Must balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch (Occasionally)
- Must be able to operate in congested areas (Occasionally)
Work Environment:
- Environment temperature varies between hot and cold conditions
- Noise level is moderate; hearing conservation program not required, but provided upon request
- Employees work on or near heavy machinery and rapidly moving equipment
Work Location: This position is required to work onsite in our Loveland, CO facility
Travel Required: None – This position will not be required to travel.
