POSITION SUMMARY

The Full-Time Cleaning Supervisor is a hands-on member of Simply Cleaner’s Commercial Cleaning team who also provides leadership, quality control, training, and operational support to the General Manager of Commercial Services.

This is not a desk-based supervisory position. The Cleaning Supervisor will regularly perform cleaning duties alongside the team while also helping ensure our customers receive consistent, high-quality service.

Because Simply Cleaner serves multiple customers, buildings, schedules, and locations, this position requires someone who is highly dependable and comfortable flexing into different roles, accounts, and locations as business needs change.

The Cleaning Supervisor may be assigned to a regular cleaning schedule but must also be available to assist with employee absences, new accounts, deep cleans, special projects, training, inspections, and other operational needs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESCleaning & Account Coverage

• Perform commercial cleaning duties as part of the regular Cleaning Team.
• Follow Simply Cleaner’s established cleaning procedures and standards.
• Complete cleaning assignments efficiently, thoroughly, and safely.
• Provide coverage at different customer locations when employees are absent or additional help is needed.
• Assist with new accounts, deep cleans, detail cleaning, floor work, special projects, and periodic services.
• Be willing and able to adjust assignments or locations based on the needs of the company.

Team Leadership & Support

• Serve as a positive example of Simply Cleaner’s expectations for quality, professionalism, attendance, teamwork, and customer care.
• Provide hands-on guidance and support to Cleaning Team members.
• Help train new employees on cleaning procedures, equipment, customer expectations, safety practices, and Simply Cleaner standards.
• Reinforce proper cleaning techniques and help employees improve when additional coaching is needed.
• Help maintain a “We Not Me” team environment by stepping in wherever needed to help the team succeed.
• Communicate employee concerns, performance issues, training needs, or account concerns to the General Manager.

Quality Control

• Perform routine quality-control inspections at customer locations.
• Identify areas that need improvement and assist with correcting issues.
• Help ensure customer-specific task lists and cleaning schedules are being followed.
• Follow up on customer concerns or quality issues as directed by the General Manager.
• Help maintain consistent cleaning standards across multiple Simply Cleaner accounts.

Operational Support

• Work closely with the General Manager of Commercial Services to support day-to-day operations.
• Assist with call-in coverage and schedule changes when needed.
• Help prepare and support new customer locations and account transitions.
• Communicate supply, equipment, maintenance, access, key, or building concerns promptly.
• Help ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are being used and maintained properly.
• Assist with inventory, supply delivery, equipment movement, or other operational responsibilities as assigned.
• Be available to take on additional responsibilities when the General Manager needs support.

FLEXIBILITY OF THE POSITION

A key responsibility of this position is flexibility.

The Cleaning Supervisor should expect that their schedule, responsibilities, and assigned locations may change depending on the needs of Simply Cleaner and our customers.

On any given day, the Supervisor may be:

• Cleaning a regularly assigned account
• Filling in for an absent team member
• Training a new employee
• Performing a quality-control inspection
• Helping correct an issue at a customer location
• Assisting another cleaning team
• Supporting a deep clean or special project
• Helping start a new commercial account
• Delivering supplies or equipment
• Assisting the General Manager with other operational needs

The successful candidate will be someone who can adapt quickly and understands that helping wherever needed is an important part of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will:

• Have commercial cleaning or professional cleaning experience; supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
• Be dependable and maintain excellent attendance.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and pride in their work.
• Be comfortable giving direction and constructive feedback to team members.
• Be able to work independently without constant supervision.
• Have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Be able to prioritize responsibilities in a changing work environment.
• Be trustworthy when handling customer keys, access codes, alarm systems, and confidential information.
• Have reliable transportation and be able to travel between customer locations.
• Be willing to work at different locations and during different shifts when necessary.
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance when interacting with customers and team members.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is an active cleaning position. Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of commercial cleaning, including:

• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Bending, reaching, twisting, kneeling, and squatting
• Using vacuums, mops, cleaning tools, and other commercial cleaning equipment
• Moving cleaning supplies and equipment
• Lifting and carrying items required to perform assigned cleaning responsibilities
• Performing repetitive cleaning motions
• Working throughout offices, restrooms, common areas, stairways, and other commercial environments
