Immediate opening for a Production Operator (2nd Shift) with a biotech company in Torrance, CA who possesses: Prior experience working in a GMP Manufacturing environmentGood attitude and reliableAbility to be on your feet for extended periods of time Experience working in a clean room environment Second Shift: 2:30pm-11:00pmEmail resumes to mrico@simplybiotech.com or call 949.204.3861 FULL DESCRIPTION: The selected candidate will be responsible for: Primary responsibilities are overseeing and assisting in the operation of the Coating LinesResponsible for following GMP's and training staff accordinglyAssist supervisor in a variety of activities such as coordinating workflow, training new hires, and other given assignmentsAble to disassemble, clean, and set-up encapsulation machines as well as other production equipmentClean, floors, and walls and sanitize room per established proceduresReview batch records for accuracy and completeness, correctly documenting all steps in the processObserve the machine during operation, adjust as needed, and inspect for wear and tearCoordinate with supervisor to increase productivity and quality of productHandling of raw materials and components used during the production processMaintain proper attire and PPE at all times to ensure integrity of the product as per cGMP's and company SOPsFollow instruction on Batch records to manufacture products within company and customer specificationsReport any issues in the production process to the Production SupervisorDuties and tasks may be added or changed at any timeTakes samples of product and perform in process testing as per batch record instructions The selected candidate will also possess: Understanding and knowledge of various manufacturing operations and cGMP is requiredPossesses good communication skills and should be able to provide job-related training to new production personnelRequires standing/walking 75 %-100 % of the day, roughly 6 to 8 hoursLifting up to 50 lbsSitting stationary roughly 0 %- 10% of the day, up to 1 hour, with a focus on computer tasksSome slight bending/maneuvering 30% of the day Salary Range: $18-$18.75/hr depending on shift For immediate and confidential consideration, please email your resume to mrico@simplybiotech.com or call 949.204.3861.
