Key Responsibilities
- Haul and handle products as assigned while maintaining efficiencies, such as fuel and best hauling and loading practices
- Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition
- Obtains schedule of load times and locations for the day and drives truck to destination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skills
- Maintains driver log according to DOT regulations
- Regularly inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water
- Makes truck and/or trailer available for scheduled maintenance
- Always maintains conscientiousness for safety, while driving as well as performing all other duties
- Full compliance with all FMCSA/DOT regulations and other Company policies and procedures as applicable
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Driving school
- Must be at least 21 years of age due to travel requirements
- Must have a commercial driver’s license (Class A), with proper endorsements and a good driving record
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable over-the-road experience
- Must have a current/valid DOT Medical Certification
- Must meet DOT qualifications
- Must accurately and timely complete Company and DOT required forms
- Must be able to back up and maneuver in and around tight areas
- Reefer trailer experience strongly preferred
- Ability to use the Apple IOS Operating System.
- Class A CDL
