Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Operate tractor/trailer combinations to transport agricultural products, including feed commodities and other loose or packaged materials, on local or long‑haul routes.
- Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, checking lights, brakes, tires, and other critical equipment; report any defects to the Trucking Manager.
- Refuel and maintain equipment by replenishing fluids (fuel, oil, water), cleaning the truck and trailer, and removing debris to keep equipment in safe working condition.
- Maintain accurate driver logs in compliance with company policy and DOT regulations; follow all DOT and DMV safety standards.
- Assist with loading and unloading to ensure products are handled safely and records are accurate.
- Support warehouse operations by helping with shipping and receiving tasks as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- One year of over‑the‑road driving experience or completion of training from a certified driving school; equivalent combinations of experience and education are also considered.
- Ability to read and interpret work documents such as safety rules, road signs, maps, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Basic writing skills to complete simple reports or correspondence.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Problem‑solving ability to follow written or verbal instructions and handle routine issues that arise during standard operations.
- Must be able to lift minimum 50lbs
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Must have or be willing to obtain the following Endorsements upon hire
- Hazmat Endorsement
- Tanker Endorsement
- Doubles/Triples Endorsement
- Must be willing and able to work Ag Industry hours as business needs dictate, which may include:
- early mornings
- late evenings
- weekends
- holidays
