Job Summary: Machine Operators ensure the major pieces of machinery is being operated in an efficient and productive manner while following the SOP, GMP requirements, and safety facets. This position requires the operator to have the ability to troubleshoot, perform set-ups, changeovers, and thorough understanding of the machine they are running.
Essential Functions:
· Must be able to work in a team environment, possess good morale, be motivated and communicate openly.
· Responsible for ensuring proper housekeeping levels are maintained.
· Ensures that all safety and security procedures are followed.
· Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures.
· Ensures all good Manufacturing Principles (GMP) are maintained.
· Troubleshoots problems and notifies Engineering/Maintenance for assistance as required.
· Completes paperwork appropriately in accordance to GMP policy.
· Represents and promotes positive image of the Company at all times both on and off job.
· Completes all other duties as assigned.
· Maintains thorough knowledge of high speed, precision equipment assigned up to and including making adjustments on the fly and performing minor maintenance when needed.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Some mechanical ability preferred
Possess ability to work with tools.
Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret miscellaneous drawings and schematics.
Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance while stocking, storing, and maneuvering around the work area. Able to stand on feet for 10 hours.
