Overview
We’re seeking a motivated loan processor to support our team as overflow when in-house processors are at capacity. This commission only role lets you earn per file, with flexibility to manage your workload. Must be available during business hours and able to communicate effectively with vendors and borrowers. Training will take place in our Pleasant Grove office, then you are welcome to work there or at home.
Job Description
The primary function of the Mortgage Loan Processor is to ensure the accuracy of the documents and data in the loan file prior to underwriting. Mortgage Loan Processors work with underwriters and other lender contacts to satisfy conditional requirements for final approval. Mortgage Loan Processors coordinate with all parties related to the loan transaction to ensure that loans close on time.
Key Duties:
- Review residential loan application to verify that application data is complete and meets company standards, including loan type, loan amount, borrower assets, liabilities, and length of employment.
- Verify all data on the loan application against documents provided to ensure accuracy. Evaluate file to determine that the loan qualifies per investor, agency, and company guidelines.
- Evaluate loan files and provide recommendations if loans do not meet standards or require denial.
- Call relevant 3rd party companies to obtain additional documentation required for underwriting approval.
- Inform relevant parties of discrepancies in documentation and work towards solutions.
- Submit mortgage loan application and documentation for underwriting approval.
- Communicate loan status and updates regularly, clearly, and effectively to borrower, loan officer, and any agents if applicable.
- Achieve and maintain all departmental turn time, service, and volume standards
- Coordinate closing with settlement agent and borrower.

- Mortgage Loan Processing: 2 years
- Encompass Experience: 1-2 years
Pay:
Commission only on each funded loan
