Simplify and Smile is a Herndon, VA based organizing company that helps clients transform their homes into organized, functional spaces they love. From closets to kitchens, garages to basements, we bring order and beauty to any cluttered space. We’re growing our team and looking for talented, detail-oriented Organizing Assistants to join us!
What You’ll Do:
As an Organizing Assistant, you’ll support the Owner on a variety of projects. Every day looks a little different, but tasks may include:
- Sorting, relocating, and organizing items
- Assembling and installing organizing products
- Breaking down boxes, taking out trash, and dropping off donations
- Pitching in wherever needed to help projects run smoothly
- Packing boxes for moving
What You Can Expect:
- Hours: 0–24 per week, mostly weekdays between 10am–4pm. Some days are shorter. Hours vary and are not guaranteed. There are some after-hours communications
- Pay: $25 - $30. Rate increases with experience/performance.
- Growth Opportunity: Strong performers can advance to Lead Professional Organizer/Project Manager roles.
What We’re Looking For:
- Someone looking for flexible, part-time work and extra income (but not dependent on guaranteed hours)
- Someone willing and able to drive to different job sites across the DMV including inside Washington DC
- Someone patient, adaptable, and tactful in chaotic or messy spaces
- Someone who is dependable, on time, responsive, and able to commit to the schedule you share
- Someone physically ready: Comfortable lifting to 25 lbs., climbing stairs and ladders, and being active and standing for long stretches
- Someone friendly, positive, non-judgmental and great with people – customer satisfaction is our priority!
- Someone Detail-Minded: Understanding of spatial relations, time management, and problem-solving skills are a must
Requirements:
- Applicants must own a car and hold a valid driver’s license
- Must speak English
- You must be willing to pass a background check
