Simplified Landscaping is one of the premier property maintenance and landscape companies in Northern Utah. We are growing and looking to add a motivated, detail-oriented Fertilizer Technician to our team. This is a seasonal position, with lawn care and fertilizer applications, now through October or November.
Responsibilities:
- Perform fertilizer and chemical applications on high-profile residential and commercial properties.
- Build strong client relationships through clear communication, professionalism, and regular site visits.
- Maintain accurate records of applications, materials, and costs while following safety and regulatory requirements.
- Support the team with a dependable work ethic and a willingness to learn.
- Additional responsibilities during slower fertilizing times.
Requirements:
- Valid Utah driver’s license (clean driving record required).
- Must pass background check.
- Current Utah Pesticide Applicator License.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial spray experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of fertilizer and pesticide application equipment, spreader/sprayer calibration, and safe application practices.
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of environmental conditions (heat, cold, snow).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Skills:
- Strong communication (written and verbal).
- Problem-solving ability.
- Basic computer skills for record keeping.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Lifting, pushing, and pulling equipment/materials.
- Climbing and using tools/machines as required.
- Ability to perform physical work in winter snow removal conditions.
