Position Title: Senior Accountant
Reports to: Director, Accounting
Department: Finance
Location: 475 Springfield Ave, Summit, NJ; in-office position; team environment
Classification: Full-time; exempt
Summary / Job Objective:
We are looking for a qualified accountant to assist in the General Ledger month-end close process and the preparation and reconciliation of balance sheets and income statements in compliance with GAAP. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a thorough understanding of accounting principles, are essential for success in this role.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Prepare the monthly GAAP journal entries for multiple companies to ensure that the financial reporting is accurate and timely.
· Own the month-end close processes for assigned areas and adhere to deadlines.
· Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for multiple companies.
· Assist with payroll related journal entries.
· Assist with the finance integration of acquired entities.
· Own and prepare the entire lease process in accordance with ASC 842.
· Coordinate support and respond to external auditors for Interim and Year-End Audit.
· Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports for all entities including consolidated balance sheets and income statements.
· Reconcile financial discrepancies by analyzing account information.
· Ad hoc projects.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; MS or active CPA is preferred.
· 5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, financial data analysis, and/or auditing.
· Knowledge of U.S. GAAP & corporate finance principles and procedures.
· Ability to multi-task and set priorities. Able to work in open environment and team setting.
· Tech-savvy and excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
· NetSuite experience a plus.

Compensation:
· Base salary: $85,000-$95,000 (based on experience)
· Performance bonus (5% target)
