WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
You will join a team focused on collaboration, identity, and automation across Google Workspace, Okta, Atlassian, Slack, and other core SaaS tools. The team focuses on creating fast, reliable, and low friction experiences for every employee. Our goal is that when someone opens their device, everything works smoothly with no obstacles. This role is not siloed. You will work across identity, automation, SaaS systems, and cross functional workflows. This will be an individual contributor role reporting directly to the Digital Workplace Manager.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Build and improve automation across Google Workspace, Okta, Slack, Atlassian, and other workplace systems
- Design and support identity integrations involving SSO, authentication, provisioning, and group-based access
- Solve complex problems related to permissions, lifecycle management, and cross-system integrations
- Build tools and workflows that remove manual work for users and admins
- Handle escalated technical issues that require deeper investigation
- Work directly with users and stakeholders to understand real workflows and pain points
- Apply security and governance best practices across workplace systems
- Create documentation and share knowledge with teammates
YOU’LL HAVE THE FOLLOWING TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
Core Skills:
- Strong problem solving skills with close attention to detail
- Ability to think in systems - understanding how identity, data, permissions, and workflows interact across platforms
- Comfortable building internal tools in Python, or a similar language such as JavaScript/TypeScript or Go
- Experience working with REST APIs, including reading and applying vendor documentation, handling JSON, managing authentication, working with pagination, rate limits, and errors etc
- Experience with additional scripting approaches such as Bash or PowerShell
- Familiarity with Git and version control
- Ability to learn the basics of new technologies quickly
- Clear communication when collaborating with non-technical users
- Strength in documentation and knowledge sharing
- Hands on experience with workplace tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, or Atlassian
- Strong understanding of IAM principles - RBAC, ABAC, SSO, SAML, SCIM
- Hands on experience with at least one major IAM platform such as Okta, Entra, or SailPoint
- Ability to operate at the practical skill level of an Okta Consultant
- Certification not required
- Equivalent hands on capability required
- Experience implementing or supporting SSO integrations
- Experience with Auth0 or other client facing platforms is relevant here.
- Demonstrated experience with lifecycle automation:
- Joiner, Mover, Leaver processes
- Automated provisioning, access transfers, and deprovisioning
- Ability to read and interpret vendor API documentation and build functional integrations
- Experience using workflow or low-code automation tools (e.g., Okta Workflows, Make, Zapier, n8n)
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues that span multiple SaaS systems and identity platforms
Nice to have:
- Experience deploying small internal tools or automations on cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS or Azure (e.g., Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Lambda)
- Experience building or maintaining Slack apps or chatbots
- Writes clean and maintainable automation code
- Background in endpoint management or networking
- Familiarity with SOC 2, SOX, or ISO 27001 aligned practices
- Experience with GAM
- Familiarity with Terraform or interest in learning infrastructure as code for SaaS and identity systems
- Familiarity with lightweight frameworks used to build internal automations (FastAPI, Flask, Express, etc.)
- Be curious and eager to learn
- Take initiative when something can be improved
- Work well independently and with a team
- Care about user experience
- Feel comfortable saying they do not know something and then solving it
We value demonstrated ability more than credentials. Skills gained through personal projects, self study, bootcamps, or non traditional experience are welcome.
