Leasing Specialist

Simplestate Property Management is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our growing team in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Simplestate is a locally owned company managing approximately 450 units with continued growth planned. This role plays a key part in maintaining occupancy, supporting residents, and delivering a positive leasing experience from first contact through move-in.

We are looking for someone who is organized, personable, and driven to succeed in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can manage multiple priorities while providing excellent customer service.

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Highly organized with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple prospects and follow-ups
• Sales-minded with a customer-first approach
• Comfortable showing units and working in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of leasing processes and fair housing regulations (preferred)
• Proficiency with technology (AppFolio, Google Workspace)
• Self-motivated and dependable

Responsibilities:

• Respond to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms
• Schedule and conduct property showings
• Follow up with prospective tenants to convert leads into leases
• Process rental applications and assist with screening procedures
• Prepare lease agreements and coordinate move-ins
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect and leasing records
• Assist with marketing available units, including listings and photos
• Communicate effectively with property management and maintenance teams
• Provide excellent customer service to prospects and current residents
• Support occupancy goals and leasing performance across the portfolio
