Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Hairstylist role based in Janesville, WI. The Hairstylist will provide a range of hair services, including cutting, styling, coloring, and treatments tailored to each client’s needs and preferences. Responsibilities include consulting with clients, recommending styles and products, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation at the station, and ensuring a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere. The role involves building lasting client relationships, assisting with retail product recommendations, and contributing to team initiatives, salon events, and ongoing education. The Hairstylist will also support front-of-house activities as needed, such as checking clients in or out and managing appointment timing to keep the schedule running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in Hair Styling and Hair Care, with the ability to perform cuts, color services, and treatments for diverse hair types.
- Licensed in Cosmetology (or eligible for state licensure in Wisconsin) with up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
- Excellent Customer Service skills, with a focus on creating positive, comfortable, and inclusive client experiences.
- Clear and professional Communication skills, including active listening, consultation, and the ability to explain services and home-care routines.
- Commitment to hygiene and sanitation standards, punctuality, and reliability in a fast-paced salon environment.
