The Opportunity: We're hiring a hands-on Assistant Distiller to join our production team. You’ll work closely with the Head Distiller on distillation, proofing, bottling, and product development. Opportunities to lead tours, tastings, and events are available. This role is a great chance to learn all aspects of craft distilling and grow with a passionate team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily production and distillation operations
- Monitor stills, tanks, and equipment to ensure quality and consistency
- Support recipe development, experimental batches, and new product launches
- Transport produce and supplies from partner farms as needed
- Maintain detailed production logs, proofing records, and QC data
- Operate and maintain the bottling/packaging line; prepare finished goods for sale and distribution
- Maintain inventory of raw materials, packaging, and finished products
- Clean and sanitize tanks, lines, and workspaces; perform preventive maintenance
- Follow all safety, compliance, and environmental protocols
- Conduct sensory evaluations and QC testing; participate in R&D and continuous improvement
- Represent the brand professionally at tastings, tours, and events
Qualifications
- Prior experience in brewing, distilling, wine making, baking, or food/beverage production preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Mechanically inclined with basic troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work safely around heat, steam, and chemicals
- Strong organizational and math skills; basic computer literacy
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check
- Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to get certified)
- Discerning taste and knowledge of liquor is a plus
- Must be 21

Pay: $20.00 - $27.41 per hour
