Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in guest rooms, public areas, and other designated spaces. This role is essential in providing a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. Experience in hospitality, janitorial, or industrial cleaning is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn and grow within the housekeeping field.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas according to established standards
- Perform floor care tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and carpet cleaning
- Change linens, make beds, and replenish supplies to ensure guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces, furniture, windows, and fixtures
- Handle waste disposal and recycling procedures properly
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively
- Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and linens
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cleaning, janitorial, hospitality, or custodial roles is advantageous
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and industrial cleaning methods preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks within scheduled shifts
- Good physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and lift light loads as needed
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, or weekends as required
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Prefer previous experience in housekeeping in a commercial, clinical or healthcare environment; basic reading, writing, speaking skills and understand English sufficient to provide and receive instructions/directions.
