Job Summary
We’re looking for a reliable and friendly Janitor to help keep the campus clean, safe, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors. This role focuses on maintaining daily cleanliness and responding to cleaning needs that arise during the school day.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain hallways, classrooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas.
- Restock restroom and classroom supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, etc.).
- Wipe down and sanitize high-touch surfaces such as desks, door handles, railings, and counters.
- Respond quickly to spills, messes, or accidents to ensure safety.
- Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the school.
- Keep entryways and office areas clean and presentable for students, staff, and parents.
- Provide light support for school events, including setup and breakdown of tables and chairs.
- Assist in special cleaning projects as needed.
- Report maintenance or safety issues (broken fixtures, leaks, hazards) immediately to the supervisor.
- Use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Friendly and professional around students, teachers, and staff.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to notice when areas need cleaning or restocking.
- Dependable and punctual with consistent attendance.
- Physically capable of walking, bending, and lifting 25–50 lbs during the shift.
- Good communication skills for following instructions and reporting issues.
- Team player who works well with custodial staff and supports the school community.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
