Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Expert to lead the design, implementation, optimization, and support of WMS solutions across warehouse and distribution operations. The ideal candidate will have deep functional and technical expertise in WMS platforms, strong understanding of warehouse operations, and a proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable system solutions.

This role will work closely with operations, IT, supply chain, and integration teams to ensure efficient, accurate, and high-performing warehouse processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end WMS implementations, upgrades, and enhancements
  • Configure WMS modules including receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, replenishment, inventory control, and cycle counting
  • Translate warehouse operational workflows into system configurations and business rules
  • Support multi-warehouse, multi-client, and high-volume distribution environments

Warehouse Operations & Process Optimization

  • Analyze warehouse processes and recommend system-driven improvements for efficiency, accuracy, and cost reduction
  • Optimize picking strategies (wave, batch, zone, task-based picking)
  • Support labor management, slotting, cross-docking, and yard management processes
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety, and operational KPIs

Integration & Technical Collaboration

  • Collaborate with ERP, TMS, OMS, and automation systems (conveyors, AS/RS, robotics, scanners, RFID)
  • Support integrations via APIs, EDI, flat files, or middleware
  • Work closely with developers, DBAs, and infrastructure teams on performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Deep Experience in Oracle/Pl-SQL development

Testing, Support & Training

  • Lead functional testing, UAT, and production readiness activities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve WMS production issues and root causes
  • Create system documentation, SOPs, and training materials
  • Train warehouse supervisors, operators, and support teams

Stakeholder & Project Collaboration

  • Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define system roadmaps
  • Participate in project planning, timelines, and status reporting
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for WMS across the organization

Required Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of hands-on experience with enterprise WMS platforms (mandatory)
  • Strong understanding of warehouse and distribution center operations
  • Experience implementing or supporting at least one full WMS lifecycle (implementation or major upgrade)
  • Proven experience with inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping processes
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with operations and IT teams
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with leading WMS platforms (e.g., Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP EWM, Oracle WMS, HighJump/Körber, Infor, Symphony GOLD Stock)
  • Experience integrating WMS with ERP, TMS, and automation systems
  • Knowledge of barcoding, RF devices, RFID, and warehouse automation
  • Exposure to cloud-based WMS and modern microservices architectures
  • Experience in retail, grocery, CPG, or high-volume distribution environments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100, $125,856.20 per year
