What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at SimonMed?
Job Duties:
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on time.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting as needed.
- Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Assist with audits, tax filings, and special projects.
- Analyze financial data and identify trends or issues.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2–4 years of accounting or finance experience.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Great Plains, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting.
- Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
