JOB TITLE: Escalation Refund Specialist

LOCATION: Remote

As the Escalation Refund Specialist, you will….

Manage teams both internally and externally with the goal of driving timely and accurate Account resolution. Regularly review and provide solutions to further increase effectiveness of both internal and external team refunding processes. Perform and maintain and report on key 
metrics in support of Simon Med business goals. Drive value by optimizing cash flow, by utilizing reconciliation processes. Quickly identify opportunities as they arise and work resolutions as far upstream as possible to prevent further incursions.

• Immediate account resolution
• Account review of proper posting
• Pending credit reviews
• Report operational issues and risks to operations lead
• Receive and handle incidents/changes and problems for support following agreed upon procedures
• Maintain metrics of tickets received and resolution time.
• Assist with and coordinate the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures
• Ensure that incidents/changes and problems are handled according to agree upon procedures
• Ensure that documentation of the supported components is available and in an appropriate form for those providing support
• Validate detailed design/process solutions
• Develop Support Tools or client application requirements
• Participate in the client-business development
• Statement metrics
• Financial arrangements/agreements
• Assist in development of customer satisfaction and reporting of outcomes
• Refund reconciliation through and through
• Credit balance reconciliation
• Other duties assigned
• Root cause resolution of spotted trends

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• Review account credits to ensure, efficient and accurate account collection.
  
  • Monitor E2E Revenue Cycle processes for intervention and reimbursement optimization.
    
  • Documentation review 
    Work with onshore and offshore team members to enhance A/R refund speed and increase efficiency.
• Leverage automation and process improvements to reduce Cost of Collections.
  
• Work across departments (both internal and external) and levels thereof to apply datadriven improvements to all aspects of the end to end process.
  
• Adheres to policies, procedures, guidelines relative to departmental operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Knowledge of technical troubleshooting techniques 
• Knowledge of MS Office suite of products
• Strong customer service skills
• Knowledge of Remote tools to connect to other devices
• Previous medical record review experience
• Experience reviewing accounts
• Payment posting preferred
• License/Certification:

Experience:

• 2 yrs of Revenue cycle experience
• 1 years of call center environment experience 
• Offshore Vendor engagement preferred
• 1 Radiology experience preferred
• 1 Radiology billing experience preferred
• Advance Excel/Pivot

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.
