Kitchen Lead – Daytime Schedule
Schenectady, NY | Full-Time | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Starting Pay: $21/hour
Simone’s Kitchen Dining Services prepares fresh, high-quality meals for seniors and individuals with disabilities in assisted living communities and home settings throughout the Capital Region.
We’re looking for a dependable, hands-on Kitchen Lead to help oversee daily kitchen operations while working alongside the team in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
This is a great opportunity for someone with kitchen experience who wants more responsibility, leadership experience, and a consistent daytime schedule.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook fresh meals following recipes and service standards
- Support and lead kitchen staff during daily operations
- Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and organization standards
- Assist with prep, dishwashing, and kitchen cleanup as needed
- Help ensure meals are prepared and served accurately and efficiently
- Create a positive dining experience for seniors and residents
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen or cooking experience preferred
- Reliable and punctual attendance
- Ability to lead by example and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
- Comfortable working around and interacting with seniors
