What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier/Sales Associate position at Simonar Shell?
Simonar Shell is hiring for a full or part time Convenience Store Cashier.
Must be 18 or older to apply and able to obtain a Beverage Server License.
Operate cash registers, scan barcodes, and handle cash, credit, debit, and mobile transactions.
Managing Fuel Pumps: Monitor gas pumps, authorize prepayments, and help troubleshoot basic pump issues.
Store Maintenance: Light to moderate cleaning. Cleaning counters, shelves and products, sweep and mop floors, take out trash, stock cooler and freezer items and maintain clean restrooms.
ID Verification: Check legal identification for age-restricted items such as alcohol, tobacco, and lottery products.
Customer Service: Greet customers, answer customer questions and sell in-store items like snacks, drinks, tobacco, and lottery tickets.
Inventory Control: Restock shelves, track stock levels, and rotate perishable products.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Skills: Basic math, cash handling accuracy, and good communication skills.
Physical Ability: Stand for long shifts and lift up to 30 pounds when restocking.
Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
