Simon’s Class is a leading NYC-based tutoring & education company supporting students in elementary school through the college level. We're looking for team members to help us build and grow our newest program: Homework Squad.
About Homework Squad
Homework Squad helps elementary and early middle school students get their work done - consistently, independently, and without the nightly battle. We're building a team of reliable, warm, and organized homework coaches who know how to keep kids on track and families sane.
The Role
As a Homework Coach, you'll work one-on-one (or in small groups) with students in grades K-8, sitting with them for 1-2 hours each afternoon to make sure homework gets completed. This isn't tutoring - your job is structure, accountability, and follow-through. You'll keep students focused, help them manage their time, and break tasks into manageable steps.
Hours
Monday through Thursday, with shifts falling between 3:30pm and 8:00pm. Occasional weekend availability is a plus.
What We're Looking For
- Warm, personable, and patient - kids should feel comfortable with you
- Highly organized and dependable; families are counting on you to show up
- Comfortable working independently in a home or tutoring center environment on the Upper East Side
- A natural ability to redirect, encourage, and keep things moving without being heavy-handed
- Bonus: Experience working with students who have executive function challenges (ADHD, organizational difficulties, task initiation struggles, etc.)
- Bonus: Background in teaching, special education, learning support, or a related field

Compensation
