About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling complex, high-stakes commercial litigation matters. This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional who thrives in fast-paced legal environments and takes ownership of case execution from intake through resolution.
Confidentiality, precision, and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential.
What You’ll Do
- Review, analyze, and organize complex client documentation, including correspondence, notices, applications, notes, guaranties, and related materials
- Draft litigation documents such as complaints, answers, routine notices, affidavits, motions, and trial- and appellate-level filings
- Support attorneys with pre-judgment and post-judgment recovery efforts, including tracking damages, interest calculations, costs, and payments
- Conduct legal research and assist with case strategy development
- Prepare cases for motions, hearings, conferences, and trial
- Review, outline, index, and summarize depositions and large document sets
- Utilize litigation software and computerized litigation tools to manage case materials efficiently
- Accurately bill time daily in accordance with firm expectations
What You Bring
- Advanced knowledge of legal principles, terminology, and procedures, typically acquired through formal paralegal training or certification
- 10 years of experience supporting complex commercial litigation matters
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including effective interaction with attorneys, clients, and staff
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential matters
Work Environment
- Onsite position based in Troy, Michigan
