Simon-Kucher
York, NY Full Time
POSTED ON 3/20/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/5/2026

An emerging practice leader in training—built for impact, growth, and ownership.

If you’re a Financial Services consultant who’s ready to move beyond “owning a workstream” and start leading full engagements, guiding teams, and shaping client outcomes, this role is designed for you. You’ll operate as a future leader of the Financial Services practice—developing the commercial instincts, executive presence, and firm-building muscles to grow into a practice leadership role.

Simon-Kucher is the world’s leading growth specialist. We help clients unlock measurable revenue and profit by optimizing the full commercial engine—customer engagement, product, pricing, innovation, marketing, distribution, and sales—grounded in quantitative analytics, research, and behavioral science.

Our Financial Services team partners with leaders across Banking, Fintech, Payments, Wealth & Asset Management, and Insurance, as well as private equity investors, to tackle their most important monetization and growth opportunities. In the Americas, you’ll join a dedicated FS team (20 consultants led by partners across the US, Canada, and LATAM) with global support from ~125 FS professionals.

What Makes Us Special

  • Become part of a unique entrepreneurial team. Think independently, use your initiative, and take some risks. Entrepreneurship is a powerful force that drives the growth not only of our firm but our clients and people.
  • Unlock the power of opportunity. Advance your career in a thriving company with a startup feel. We invest in your professional development every step of the way.
  • Work in a values-driven culture. At Simon-Kucher, our vision is to become the world's leading growth specialist. Our values guide the way we do business and communicate our distinctiveness. They sum up what we stand for, influence our culture, and drive how and why we do things.
  • Invest in your future. All US and Canadian employees enjoy 401(k) & RRSP benefits with company matching.
  • Prioritize your health and well-being. No matter where you live, we offer a competitive suite of health benefits to help keep you and your loved ones safe.
  • Enjoy balance and flexible working. Be empowered to do your best work – whether it’s from home or in the office.

How You Will Create An Impact

  • Why this role is different
    • This is not a “project manager” job. It’s a leadership accelerator.
    • You’ll be trusted to run key client engagements, develop junior talent, and contribute to how our FS practice evolves—while working alongside partners and senior leaders who will invest in your growth.
  • What you’ll do
    • Lead engagements that matter
      • Own the delivery of Financial Services strategy engagements end-to-end—from kickoff through executive-ready recommendations.
      • Elevate analysis into client-ready insight using data, analytics, and research.
      • Drive project planning and execution: scope, workplan, timelines, team cadence, and quality—while keeping an eye on economics and margin.
      • Create deliverables clients can act on and help them translate strategy into real-world implementation.
    • Build trusted executive relationships
      • Become a credible advisor to senior client stakeholders by delivering tailored, high-quality recommendations.
      • Engage executives throughout the project—aligning on goals, building buy-in, and navigating complexity with confidence.
      • Present findings and recommendations clearly, succinctly, and persuasively to senior audiences.
    • Lead teams and grow future leaders
      • Lead and coach teams of high-performing consultants—helping them do the best work of their careers.
      • Set clear roles and expectations, provide real-time feedback, and create a strong team culture under pressure.
      • Serve as a Career Development Advisor (CDA) and play an active role in recruiting and onboarding FS talent.
    • Contribute to the practice
      • Help grow the FS practice through capability building, tool development, and thought leadership.
      • Support business development through client conversations, proposal development, pitches, and follow-on opportunities with existing clients.
      • Stay on top of market and industry trends—and use them to shape what we bring to clients next.
Your Profile

  • You’re a high-performing consultant who combines sharp problem-solving with the ability to lead people and influence executives.
  • You bring:
    • 7 years in strategy or management consulting (or comparable professional services), serving Financial Services clients.
    • Demonstrated expertise in commercial growth topics such as:
      • Growth strategy and go-to-market
      • Pricing & packaging, value proposition, monetization strategy
      • Segmentation and analytics-led commercial strategy
      • Product/portfolio strategy
      • Distribution and omnichannel strategy
      • Sales effectiveness (process, incentives, coverage, productivity)
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex analysis into crisp, compelling insight.
    • Strong communication and executive-ready presentation skills.
    • A track record of managing multiple projects: workplans, budgets, timelines, and delivery quality.
    • A collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset—and a leadership style grounded in inclusion, empathy, and high standards.
    • Interest and/or experience in selling and shaping work (new and follow-on).
    • Willingness to travel 25% or 2-3 days in office presence.
    • Spanish fluency is a plus.
    • Undergraduate degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
