Job Overview
- Perform general gunsmith services on all firearm types including shotguns, pistols, and rifles. Perform firearm repairs and part replacements in accordance with company policies and industry standards. Collaborate with the General Manager and Shop Manager to support the achievement of company goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Order and install firearm parts as needed.
- Manage repairs and jobs, and coordinate with managers to achieve quality work and customer satisfaction.
- Provide expert customer service.
- Keep a clean and organized workspace.
- Keep workstations and machinery clean and organized.
- Coordinate with other gunsmiths across departments.
- Follow correct order of operations when performing firearm repairs.
- Operate equipment to grind, polish, and fit metal parts.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure safety, compliance, and innovation.
- Specialize in wood operations including stock bedding, repairs, refinishing, and recoil pad installation.
Qualifications
- (Not required) 3-5 years of in-depth gunsmithing experience.
- Associates degree in gunsmithing or similar relevant firearm education.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with difficult situations.
- Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and prioritize responsibilities.
- Must understand firearm cycle of operations
- A proactive mindset with problem-solving capabilities and a passion for continuous learning
