Position: Child Development Specialist
Service Area: Eastern North Carolina
Primary Office: Goldsboro, NC
Counties Served: Beaufort, Craven, Pitt, Greene, Lenoir, Wayne, Wilson and Surrounding Counties
Applicants may live in any of the counties listed above. Services are provided in the child’s natural environment, including homes and daycares.
Up to $60 or more per hour
1099 Contract
Flexible Schedule | Min. 10 hrs./wk. 8 am to 4 pm

At Simmons Early Intervention Therapy (SEIT), we are a well-respected pediatric therapy company dedicated to empowering young children and their families. Our mission is to provide exceptional developmental support to children from birth to age 5, and we’re on the lookout for passionate Child Development Specialists to join our vibrant team!
As a Child Development Specialist, you will have the opportunity to:
- Make a Difference: Work directly with children to address developmental delays and help them reach their milestones through engaging play activities.
- Creative Freedom: Design and implement innovative play-based activities tailored to each child’s needs, all while working in their natural environments—homes, daycare centers, parks, and more!
- Build Relationships: Collaborate closely with parents and guardians, providing them with effective techniques and strategies to support their child’s growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate skill-building activities focused on language, motor skills, social-emotional development, and behavior.
- Maintain a lively and engaging demeanor to keep children excited and involved during sessions.
- Ensure each session is fun and productive, adapting activities based on the child’s progress and interests.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, Special Ed, Psychology, or related field.
- 2 years of experience working with young children (special needs a plus)
- Dependable, positive, and energetic personality.
