Position Summary
The Data Quality Analyst II will join the Simmons Data Office in championing the quality and subsequent use of data throughout the organization. This position will be responsible for identifying data quality issues, interpreting the business needs/remediation, and ensuring the remediation has been implemented.The Data Quality Analyst II works directly with our business partners to prepare root cause analysis, define remediation plans, assist in deployment, and safeguard long-term quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the development, prioritization and execution of data quality improvement opportunities utilizing continuous improvement and problem-solving methodologies.
- Facilitate cross functional improvement exercises following the DMAIC roadmap, Lean A3, and/or a combination of any other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to create business process models, change management procedures, and business process re-engineering transformational processes.
- Assist in the development of key performance metrics and assist business units in establishing efficient ways to track data in a meaningful way
- Provide end-user support, research issues, and participate in special projects.
- Ensure that all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Beneficial Skills
- Experience with Data Governance
- Experience with LEAN, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
- Highly proficient in the Microsoft O365 Suite
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, etc...
- Experience with data integration, architecture, etc... (ETL tools is a plus)
- Experience with Master Data Management preferred
- Strong understanding of SQL and database programming
- Strong understanding of file management concepts, processes, and tools
- Strong understanding of scheduling/automation concepts, processes, and tools
- Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence and/or journals or government regulations.
- Ability to write routine reports, simple-to-business correspondence, and procedures.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial report and/or legal documents.
- Ability to effectively speak, respond to questions, and present information to the following: one-on-one /small groups, customers, employees, clients, managers, top management, board of directors, and the general public.
Education and/or Experience
- 4 years of experience in a data-oriented role
- Banking experience, preferred
