Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Whether you are just starting in the field or have some experience, we are committed to training the right person to become a member of our team.

Qualifications:

• Dental Radiology Certificate 

• Must have completed a Florida Board-approved expanded duties training program

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities:

• Assist dentists during various dental procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfort.
• Educate patients and their guardians on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care with empathy and clear communication..
• Restorative Procedures: Placing, sculpting, and finishing dental fillings.
• Preventative Care: Applying dental sealants and topical fluoride treatments.
• Impression Taking: Creating impressions for crowns, bridges, or other restorations.
• Coronal Polishing: Performing coronal polishing on teeth.
• Other Procedures: Taking dental x-rays, removing sutures, and applying topical anesthetics.
• Adhere to body motion and ergonomics best practices to maintain personal health and safety during clinical tasks.

Details: 

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday with opportunity for a fourth day
• 8AM – 5:00PM
• No Evening, No Holidays, No Weekends
